Fooling around with Wikiloops which I had yet to hear of until yesterday. Interesting. Only 16 bit but decent on this track. I downloaded drums and guitar that another member uploaded and I added a bass track with my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Thanks Randy Segal from 8th Street Music. http://musicbytodd.com/?page_id=1564
Used my Spector NS-2-MM with Buckeye Burl Top, neck pickup only, set to P or single coil, NO EQ, DIRECT into the Line in on the Scarlett 2i2, and just a little compression.
I’ve been playing bass a very long time. Very long. I’ve played everything from Classical to Show Tunes to New Orleans Funk. I play 4-5 and fretless. Equipment like NYC SIR (Studio Instrument Rentals). Newer car. No drugs. No booze. Not a smoker. Retired so flexible schedule. I can read notes/charts, lead sheets, road maps, chicken scrawl, etc.. Basically tell me what key and count it off. I would LIKE to play: funk, blues, rock, country, Motown, soul, acoustic, or anything that’s just good music. Over my career I’ve done a LOT of 4 pc “rock band” 60s-70s stuff all way to 8 piece Chicago/BST tribute bands. Funk Show Bands, etc. I’ve played double bass with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (Rusty Strings Project). In the past few years I’ve done Billy Joel and Elton John “tributes”, Worship and Praise, and backed up singles/duos (acoustic singer songwriter stuff). I do sing and prefer backup for now but have and do sing lead (med high tenor thru baritone range) all my life. NO attitudes. Over my career I’ve done a LOT of 4 pc “rock band” 60s-70s stuff all way to 8 piece Chicago/BST tribute bands. Funk Show Bands, etc. PM Here and let’s do an interview/audition!
KNOW anyone putting a project together? Please recommend them to me.
